Ahhh.... Opening day.  Yeah it's the Marlins and the Cardinals but so what?  Baseball is here.  It also happens to be opening day for this blog in a way.  This is the 

first real post.  No this is not a fantasy baseball blog but I don't promise not to talk about baseball during baseball season.  I just sat down with my home brewed pilsner.  I normally brew darker brews but I felt opening day deserved a good ole' American pilsner.  

This site will probably change a lot over the course of this inaugural week.  I plan on creating a "Links" page where I will be posting all of the interesting tools and sites on.  Also I suppose I should make a bio in case anyone cares about who is writing what they are reading.  The short version would go like this: 11 year guitarist; 4 year drummer; 6 year security nerd; lifetime Star Wars addict; lifetime baseball addict.  Another page I plan on making is one with a set of quick tutorials.  For example there will be a quick tutorial on how to run an NMAP scan of a server and search for an exploit in Metasploit to exploit and take control of the server(Mostly just a quick reference guide for myself).

I just spent 8 days at SANS 2012.  What a great experience.  I had the opportunity to take Offensive Countermeasures. I left that place with a full plan to create a sweet sweet honeyspot (honeypot+wifi hotspot=honeyspot). I will have details on my honeyspot over the next week.
