Here is a great post by Offensive Security on using the Proxmark III to clone RFID/HID tags.  With more and more organizations choosing alternative authentication methods for the desktop the ability to clone an RFID card raises more concern for the physical security of these cards.  For example, a card does not need to be stolen but if I can get into close enough proximity I may be able to make my own with your credentials.
